This is just a quick blog post to wish everyone a wonderful 2016.
The last 12 months have been really busy for April Mawhinney Design Studios – my freelancing work stepped up a notch; completing lots of projects ranging from Kitchen Textiles, to patterns for woman’s wear and food illustrations. I’ve also been working on some newer projects, in particular packaging designs and some independent design work for home décor / interior design clients.
In between that I have moved house & studio (and planning another house & studio move in the Spring) and met lots of amazing people, creatives and contacts along the way - even being featured on my favourite design blog Pattern Observer.
Don’t get me wrong, there have been business challenges and disappointments at points throughout the year – but I see these gaps between the successes as opportunities for learning and reflection.
Here’s hoping that 2016 is as busy, fun packed, and most importantly as creative as 2015!
If you are interested in commissioning any illustration or pattern design work, please do not hesitate to contact me. My diary for 2016 is filling up but I’m always interested is taking on new commissions and helping you with your design project!
